Cooking Experiment # 1

So above is the the first real cooking I've done in Japan! It was pretty exciting and I must say it was actually really good! I made enough for two meals, so I won't have to cook tomorrow, yay! I wasn't sure how it would turn out since I couldn't read most of the instructions on the back of the curry packet and I was experimenting with the vegetables, but it worked! I was a pretty happy Brooke :).

Here is a picture of the end product:

Pretty awesome, is it not?

Anyway, I was just pretty happy with it, so I thought I would share!

More later,

Love Brooke

  1. Ooh, I'm so happy you posted this. :) It's like a free cooking lesson. Weee! I'll have to go grocery shopping on Monday. Let's hope the stores are open, despite the holiday... And OH! You put up a BEAUTIFUL background! 10 points to you! :D Love it.

  2. Liz was asking me to help her out in the cooking department--maybe this could work! Mini-cooking lessons! Hehehe.

Glad you like the blog--stole all the html codes from you...hahaha. You are the best!

I think that big grocery stores should be open. How are things down in Osaka! I miss you lots and lots and lots and lots!

    And yes, curry is great!!!

  3. Brooke: I know your kind of curry! When McKay came home from Taiwan, he was given Monday night dinner duty. Guess what we had every Monday night forever until rebellion reared it's ugly head?Did you guess curry and rice? It's true. McKay put in carrots and potatoes. Now I can't eat the stuff. However, because of your amazing observations, pictures, and cooking demonstrations, I feel like I am right there in Japan with you...your blog is awesome. It helps me understand some of the things Dallin is doing. Thanks for sharing!
